Seeing through walls with xrays
Ever wonder what it would be like to be Superman? X-Ray mode is a simple on-off proposition; you use it when you want to be able to see through faces by making them translucent (see Figure 8-11). Unlike using translucent materials on some of your faces (like glass and water), flipping on X-Ray lets you see through all your faces. I tend to use it when I want to see through a wall or a floor to show what's behind it. If you're in a plan (overhead) view, it's a great way to demonstrate how a floor level relates to the one below it.
